Indian Head Massage has its roots in ancient Ayurveda medicine, thought to be developed around 1800 BC by India’s holy men (Rishis) and is still carried out in modern India as part of daily life. Practiced regularly by family members from birth to death, it is an extremely effective massage therapy which involves massaging the upper back and arms, shoulders, neck, face and scalp with the client remaining in a seated position. Oils can be used, but often massages are performed without oils to reach the deeper muscle groups.
We often hold most of our body tension in the upper parts of the body, which is why Indian Head Massage can be so effective and targeting this tension, bringing relief to stressed muscle groups, easing fibrous muscle knots, boosting efficiency of both the circulatory and lymphatic systems, releasing toxins and restoring flexibility to the muscles.
Sessions are charged at £20.00 per session. Sessions last for approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
