Breathwork – Pranayama

In many ancient languages, the word for ‘breath’ is the same as the word for ‘life’ and ‘spirit’ (Prana).
For thousands of years, yogis, mystics, and spiritual seekers have been using their breath to improve their health, increase their vitality, raise their consciousness, and access their intuition, the source of the answers to all life’s problems. Pranayama, which means ‘breath control’ in Sanskrit, is possibly the most important of the eight limbs of yoga, the world’s most ancient system for rejuvenating body, mind, and soul and attaining enlightenment – the ultimate answer to all problems.

There are many different breathing techniques and modalities that are effective in various ways.

For example, some result in deep relaxation and rejuvenation of people’s bodies and minds, and some focus on improving practitioners’ mental and physical performance. In contrast, others can facilitate the healing of trauma and subconscious negative beliefs. All of them connect you with the most profound source of life, health, and well-being that lies in your mind and heart, and regularly practicing any form of breathwork will transform your life in subtle but profound ways.
