Hi, my name is Julia, and I am excited to be offering Pilates classes alongside Sally at the lovely Space in Shaftesbury.
I am a Pilates instructor offering classes suitable for all abilities, whether you are a complete beginner or have prior experience. Alongside my passion for Pilates, I am a long-time yogi, having been taught by Sally for many years, and a keen runner. Through my own practice, I recognise the importance of maintaining flexibility, fitness, and core strength, and Pilates is an excellent way to support overall health and wellbeing.
Pilates is a body conditioning method developed by Joseph Pilates to improve flexibility, muscle strength, endurance, and posture. The exercises can be modified for both beginners and more experienced participants, making it a safe and effective form of exercise for all.
Pilates techniques are fundamental to good posture, focusing on core stability, which is key to all physical activity and everyday movement.
Current Class Times:
Monday – 9:30am – 10.30am – Intermediate
Tuesday – 9:30am – 10.30am – Beginners
Wednesday – 6:00pm & 7:15pm – Mixed Abilities
New Beginners’ Course Starting September
A new 6-week Beginners Pilates Course will begin on Tuesday, 29th September.

This course is perfect for complete beginners or for those looking to reconnect with their Pilates practice after a break. Over the six weeks, you will learn the fundamentals of Pilates in a friendly and supportive environment, building confidence, strength, and body awareness.
