Monthly Wellbeing Workshops on Friday evenings at The Space!
7.30 – 9.30pm (2hrs)
You are invited to join the Space for a series of monthly workshops to inspire, energize and harmonize, your body, mind, and spirit.
The Space is about going deeper: a space to BE. Somewhere to connect in ways that are simply not possible in everyday life.
The Space is a place to STOP and take a moment, draw in a breath. It is a place to START afresh. A safe and sacred space where new possibilities can emerge.
What’s involved?
A combination of meditation, yoga, and mindfulness practices, including dialogue and interaction, interwoven with inspiring and thought-provoking themes arising from philosophy, nature, and the world around us, depending on the seasons, and phase of the moon. These sessions are deeply relaxing and suitable for everyone regardless of age or experience.
The key to real health and happiness is to totally relax on a regular basis, but the pace of the modern world is such that we can lose touch with the lighter side of life leaving us stressed and worn out. Over time mental stress can accumulate in the body, perhaps as tight shoulders, high blood pressure, digestive problems, or a compromised immune system, all of which can become chronic if left unchecked.
These classes will help you identify and deal with your own patterns of stress and help you to release it over time leaving you feeling relaxed and rested.
What to expect
The classes include the practice of mindfulness, gentle stretching, breathing exercises, and profound relaxation through guided visualization. This kind of deep relaxation is often called ‘Yogic’ or ‘psychic’ sleep. It helps to relieve the emotional tension that arises from day-to-day living and allows you to find stillness and clarity within the mental haze that can arise when overwhelmed by thoughts.
Please wear comfortable clothing for ease of movement and deeper relaxation, and please do not eat a large meal for 2hrs before the session.
